Okay so I thought I'd also explain why we call
ourselves "The HP Order". My friend came to me one day and wanted me to join him in making a website that was entirely
Harry Potter related. However, he was bored with all the websites that always sort you into houses. So, (seeing
as how OotP had just come out) we decided to sort people into orders instead. But, we were faced with making it completely
original. We didn't want to use a phoenix because that was what Rowling used and we knew other sites that had used it,
and we didn't want to use any of the "major" creatures that Rowling herself uses in the books. So we came up with three
orders. The Order of the Elves (not like house elves - regular elves - like LOTR elves), The Order of the Unicorns (these
are my favorite magical creatures), and The Order of the Minotuars. We also picked these specific animals because they
each represented something different. Elves represent knowledge and understanding. And since our entire thing
was to be apart of an order to battle Voldemort - we figured knowledge is a key ingredient to winning the fight. We
picked Unicorns because they are both graceful and just. In a battle such as this you would need loyal members to stay
on track and not be swayed easily by temptation. Then we picked Minotaurs because of their strength and ferocity.
Members would also need to posess strength of character and the ability to withstand injury (which we felt the minotaur
represented quite well.) So there you have it. Eventually we plan on utilizing these orders to participate in
member site features - but as we are still in our baby stages for now it's just useful to sort our members with (especially
on our forums). So, if you would like to proceed to the rest of the site (meaning if you don't think we're crazy by
